Visitor Center
A Gold-level LEED-certified building, the Visitor Center and East District Office for the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park strives to minimize its disturbance of the landscape by building much of the lower level of the facility into the sloping terrain. By utilizing durable materials, the Center connects visitors to the park, providing views throughout the building - as well as a range of park and educational information in the lobby and exhibit hall. LOCATION: Seven Springs, NC. SIZE: 9,116 s.f. COST: $3,799,260-Project budget. CLIENT: NCDENR - Division of Parks and Recreation. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Full architectural design services (conceptual design to construction administration) including LEED administration, re-configuration/improvements to road access to building, new septic system, utility extensions, acquisition of NCDENR and Wayne County permits, and coordination of Exhibit Design for the project.
