Minna Development
The Minna Development site is situated in a formerly residential block in the city of Minna, a city of 500,000 residents located 150 kilometers north west of Abuja – Nigeria’s capital city. The project brief called for the design of a speculative commercial development potentially for a bank tenant on half the site, with the rest of the site planned for residential development. The zoning requirements for the site mandated a maximum of 4 stories for any building, while the contemporary intention of the design is influenced by the modernist architecture of adjacent commercial construction in this burgeoning commercial sector of Minna. LOCATION: Minna, Nigeria. SIZE: Site area: 46,950 s.f. (4362 sq. m.), Bldg. area - residential: 41,678 s.f. (3872 sq. m.), Bldg. area - commercial: 46,220 s.f. (4294 sq. m.). COST: TBD.
